SCOPE MIAMI BEACH - ART BASEL 2019

After months and months of preparations Art Basel Miami brought great success for Simon and the gallery during their time at the world renowned SCOPE MIAMI BEACH art fair. During the opening night of the fair two newly remastered large scale portraits from Simon’s ongoing series of Mujeres de Colombia sold to enthusiastic collectors. Along with many many new one of a kind collage works that sold to new collectors, friends, and returning clients.

The following days were equally as successful with record sales and incredible attendance from important buyers, institutions, press, and VIP guests from all over the world.

Simon went on to do several important collaborations and art activations around Miami during the busy busy week. He was onsite live painting during an activation sponsored by the Four Seasons Hotel where his commissioned work will later be transformed into Italian silk scarves and then distributed by silk brand DESEDA for sales both online and in stores starting this Spring.

Simon also partnered with the new boutique concept store “The Space” in bustling Design District where he participated in a pop up fashion and art event during the week to showcase collages and a new fashion collection by Alana Hadid.

Finally Simon’s painted work was featured during an art and music event by “The Alegria Community” where a selection of his pieces were presented in an out of the box warehouse space alongside artists from Spain, Miami, New York, and Latin America.

All in all Art Basel Miami 2019 was a busy, wild, and successful ride, that ultimately secured Simon’s placement in the art world as an important emerging artist who is steadily on the rise.
